Life can be messy.
Difficult times come into everyone’s life. In those times when you are hurting - physically, emotionally, or spiritually - it helps to have someone there who will listen, support, and encourage. Westside’s Pastoral Care department is here to help individuals, couples and families grow in their faith during these difficult times.
We Care
We want you to know we really do care. We understand sometimes it can be hard to reach out. To connect, just send us a note or call. Contact information is listed for each ministry.
Biblical Encouragement
Individual Biblical encouragement and care support is available from Westside pastors and staff members. The goal of this short-term, individual care ministry is to assist those seeking help with identifying and applying Biblical principles to particular life situations. Biblical encouragement does not “fix” another’s hurt or problem. It does, however, provide the opportunity for someone who is hurting or confused to express their needs and feelings in a safe and confidential setting. It can assist the individual by helping them to clarify their needs, and is able to support them in the process of goal setting and accountability. Care Partners
A Care Partner is a committed Christian who expresses Christ’s care to others through personal ministry and companionship. The activities of a Care Partner will be determined by the needs of the individual Care Receiver, but may include phone calls and visits, assisting with transportation needs, and/or helping an individual manage their finances. Of course, prayer will always be part of a care-giving encounter. Each Care Partner is matched with an individual Care Receiver based on the particular skills of the Partner and the specific needs of a person requesting care. Through this confidential relationship, Care Partners will help their Care Receivers deepen their relationship with the Lord and provide a direct link to the Christian community. Care Partners keep the church staff informed and involved in ministering to those in need, thus adding to, rather than replacing, Pastoral Care. Contact
